Epidemiology and Biostatistics Section

Mission Statement:
The OPHA Epidemiology and Biostatistics section's mission is:
(1) to foster epidemiologic and biostatistical research, training and professional development as well as science-based public health practice;

(2) to serve as a conduit between the epidemiologic and biostatistical research communities and those who need scientific information for the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and policies affecting the public's health in Oregon.

Email Group:

The OPHA Epidemiology and Biostatistics section maintains an email group. The email group is open to section members and non-members. To join:

1) Go to the Yahoo! Groups site by clicking on the link (if the link is not active, cut and paste the link into your web browser's address bar): http://groups.yahoo.com/

2) On the "Find a Group" search bar (located approximately in the middle of the web page), enter "OPHA_Epi_Biostat" and hit the search button

3) The search engine will identify a single group, the OPHA_Epi_Biostat group, and will identify the group as the Epidemiology and Biostatistics section of the Oregon Public Health Association

4) The group name is an active link, place your cursor over the active link and click on it - this will take you to the home page of the OPHA_Epi_Biostat group

5) Join the group by clicking on the "Join This Group!" button and,

a. if you already have an email account with Yahoo!, enter your Yahoo! ID and password, or
b. if you do not have an email account with Yahoo!, then you may sign up for an account - you may designate the Section email to go to the Yahoo! email account or to another email account - it is your choice
