Open Positions for the 2026 Election: 

• President-elect: In October 2027, the President-elect becomes OPHA President, and in 2028 OPHA Immediate Past-President

• Board member-at-large: There are three open positions, elected statewide

• Board member Region 2: You must reside in Coos, Curry, Douglas, Jackson, Josephine, or Lane Counties

• Board member Region 4: You must reside in Baker, Crook, Deschutes, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Jefferson, Klamath, Lake, Malheur, Morrow, Sherman, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, Wasco, or Wheeler Counties

• Incoming Affiliate Representative to the Governing Council (ARGC): One position elected every four years, must reside in Oregon

• Nominations committee: Three positions elected each year

All candidates must be OPHA members in good standing (member dues paid) and agree to abide by OPHA’s Code of Conduct. 

Interested members must submit a written statement that includes:

• Name and contact information – address, email, phone

• Current affiliation or profession

• Brief statement written in first person explaining why the nominee would like to run for a leadership position (100 words or less)

• Brief bio-sketch written in third person (200 words or less)
