Healthy Active Oregon Coalition, a new coalition working to slow the increase of obesity in Oregon, announces its inaugural summit to be held on September 25, 2019, from 9am-4:30pm, at the Holiday Inn in Wilsonville. Healthy Active Oregon is a statewide intentional collaboration of multi-sector leaders working to create systemic and environmental changes that will reduce and prevent weight-related chronic disease and equitably improve Oregonians’ health and quality of life by unifying partners, promoting impactful policy change, and reframing discourse about obesity.
If you are a professional who works to improve the weight-related chronic health conditions of Oregonians, or an organization whose mission includes increasing Oregonians' access to healthy food and/or safe physical activity, please join us! At our summit, we will give attendees the chance to learn more about our coalition's background and mission, to network with other stakeholders from across the state, and choose the direction of our strategic priorities for the coming year.
